5 Signs of Cocaine Addiction

Are you worried that your loved one may be falling victim to a cocaine habit?  Here are some warning signs to watch out for.

Though many cocaine users try their best to keep their addiction in the closet, those in the know may find it easy to spot tell-tale signs of a cocaine habit.  Given the highly addictive nature of cocaine and the dangers of cocaine addiction, it is imperative that coke users seek treatment as soon as possible.  If you suspect your loved one is hiding a coke addiction, you can look for the following signals:

1. Money Problems

Cocaine is very expensive – one sign of coke addiction is the unexplained disappearance of large sums of users’ money.

2.  Cocaine Paraphernalia

Blow is usually cut up into find powder and then snorted.  This involves tools rolled dollar bills, a short straw, razor blades or credit cards and a flat surface such as a mirror.  There may be cocaine residue on their credit cards, cash or bathroom surfaces.

3. Physical Symptoms

Loss of appetite, nosebleeds, sleeplessness, sniffing and dilated pupils are all signs of coke abuse.

4. Behavioral Symptoms

Behavioral changes like rapid speech, paranoia, unexplained panic attacks, anxiety or mood swings can be indicative of coke use.

5. Disappearances

If your loved one is constantly leaving and providing hazy explanations, this could be a sign that they are going to score more coke.  The high of cocaine is very short-lived and users are constantly re-upping their supply.
